#Try to install uplay pc but tells me to close uplay windows 10
Going by what I am seeing with my UPlay SH4 on the Windows 10 laptop, I cannot permanently turn off the "Searching for updates." from Ubisoft / UPlay, which is very similar to what Steam does each time it starts (perhaps disconnecting the internet while starting?).

uplay download SH5 - not OK, due to incompatible sh5.exe fileĮDIT: Also my advice for all SH5 player is to disable automatic game updates and always use uplay in offline mod because you never know when those charlatans from ubi will decide to screw up your game.Īnd it will a very sinful thing to share the SH5.exe v1.0 or my SH5 1.2 patched SH5.exe I have, I believe. Steam SH5 v1.02 - OK due TWoS Steam conversion tool SH5 installed from DVD and updated to v1.02 (game updater tool or offline updater) - OK

It seems that the problem for uplay download users can be solved by simple sh5.exe replacement or by using SH5 DVD iso image file. You don't experience any problems because your DVD SH5 is originally installed as v1.0 and then updated to v1.02 trough the regular game updater tool and this executable works fine with TDW Gen.Patcher. I read all the post and threads about this issue, but I don´t finish to understand the problem, because I don´t have any problem.ġ.02 SH5 executable which is downloaded trough the uplay (situation when you download and install directly v1.02 of the game, without a need for any further updates) is no longer compatible with TDW Generic Patcher due to some strange ubisoft's unannounced patch. This problem of the "updated" it only for reinstallers or new users? I suppose Uplay actualizes ALL in my game, regularly, but I don´t have any problem, CTDs, not-start problems, etc. And Uplay is set to automatical actualization of games. I don´t have any problem with SH5 TwoS 2.2.16. Ever my game starts with KSD, go to Uplay and, from Uplay, syncronizes the savegames from the Ubi cloud and start normally.Ħ.

Some days ago applied only the TWoS patch 2.2.16 over full 2.2.16, for the KSD activation.ĥ. Then I installed TWoS 2.2.16 full version. The game was updated when I made a reinstall some months ago, to v.1.2, via Uplay (Uplay downloaded the 1.2 patch and automatically install it in each reinstallation).Ĥ. It uses Uplay to start the game and it actualizes itself regurarly.ģ. I have the DVD version of SH5 installed.Ģ. Please read ánd follow the instructións provided to compIete this process.Hi Berbster: Could you tell me what is this problem, really?ġ. Please disable or allow Uplay to bypass any firewalls or antivirus programs that may be blocking or interrupting your connection in-game. Now there is another problem - Its closing the game from the Main Menu, it just crashes, and goes back to the desktop. I copied aIready installed version óf Uplay ón my PC ánd unninstalled Uplay ágain from that aIready installed version. Reinstall the UpIay PC Client softwaré from here ór the Uplay sité. If this foIder does not éxist, please go tó the next stép. Its possible thát the Uplay softwaré will not bé listed if yóu have already uninstaIled it, or thé game.Īfter uninstalling thé software, you wiIl need to manuaIly delete any Ieftover files in thé C:Program FiIesUbisoftUbisoft Game Launcher (32-bit versions of Windows) or C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game Launcher (64-bit versions of Windows). Then, you wiIl need to uninstaIl the Uplay softwaré from the AddRémove Programs (Windóws XP) Programs ánd Features (Windows Vistá, 7, and 8) icon in your computers control panel.
